Rayleigh Cricket Club, founded in 1902, has its home ground at Rawreth Lane, just outside Rayleigh in Essex. Over the last 100 years or so the club has gone through many changes and at present it is stronger than ever.
The Club was the first cricket club to achieve Clubmark status in Rochford District in 2005 and we have been reaccredited in 2008, confirming our ongoing commitment to being a safe, effective and child-friendly cricket club.
Currently there are six regular Saturday teams, five of which will play in the T Rippon Mid Essex League in Divisions One, Five, Eight, Ten and Eleven. There is also a Sunday XI (which plays a mixture of League and Friendly games), a Women and Girl's team (which plays League games on Friday evenings), an Indoor team plus two Under 11, two Under 13 and two Under 15 sides playing in South Essex District League cricket.
The Club's youth policy is well developed now and nearly 150 boys and girls under 18 play cricket at the Club.
- Join the Club : Rayleigh Cricket Club welcomes new players of all ages, gender and abilities.
- Overseas Players : Rayleigh Cricket Club is a small, amateur club and we do not have the facilities to accommodate semi-professional overseas players.
